A novel extract: Selin, 17, lives in Cologne. Her Turkish grandmother has just moved in.
Auszug aus dem Roman „Zwei Sprachen am Tisch“ (Originaltext): Oma fragte auf Türkisch, ob die Suppe salzig genug sei. Deniz antwortete auf Deutsch: „Passt schon.“ Oma lächelte, aber sie hatte die Antwort nicht verstanden. Selin suchte das türkische Wort für „lecker“, und es kam zu spät.
