1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and improve your browsing experience. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain on your device for a set period).

We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way to cookies and help the platform function smoothly.

2. How We Use Cookies

  • Keep you signed in to your account
  • Remember your preferences and settings (like theme and study options)

  • Improve our services based on usage patterns
  • Help protect the security and integrity of your account

We only set cookies that are necessary for the Service to function, or that you have consented to in line with applicable laws such as GDPR.

We group the cookies and similar technologies we use into three categories: essential, functional, and analytics. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways:

Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies. Here are links to cookie settings for common browsers:

Impact of Disabling Cookies

If you disable essential cookies, some features of Noviqe may not work properly. For example, you may be logged out frequently, your preferences may not be saved, or certain study features and pages may not load correctly.

5. Third-Party Cookies

We use some third-party services that may set their own cookies or similar technologies:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database services (sessions, security)
  • Stripe: Secure payment processing (only on checkout pages)
  • Google Analytics: Anonymized usage analytics to help us improve the platform

These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, and we encourage you to review them. We do not allow these providers to use cookies on Noviqe for targeted advertising or selling your personal data.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that lets you express a preference not to be tracked across websites. At this time, our Service does not respond to DNT signals. However, you can still manage cookies and tracking using your browser settings and the options described above.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, or by showing a notice within the platform.
