1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Aimnova ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including students, parents, guardians, and educators.

2. Description of the Service

Aimnova is an AI-powered educational platform for International Baccalaureate (IB) students. The Service may include:

• AI tutoring and study assistance
• Personalised study planning
• Original IB-style practice questions
• Progress tracking and analytics
• Study notes and learning materials
• Mock exams and feedback tools

We may add, modify, or remove features over time as we improve the Service.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your details up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected breach of security.

3.3 Age Requirements

• You must be 16 or over to create an Aimnova account. We do not offer accounts to under-16s, and there is no parental permission route that changes this. Aimnova is built for the IB Diploma Programme, which is studied at 16 to 19.
• By creating an account you confirm you are 16 or over. We do not verify it; it is a declaration you make, and creating an account when you are under 16 is a breach of these Terms.
• If your school enrolled you, this rule does not apply to you in the same way. Your school decides which of its pupils use Aimnova and on what basis, under its agreement with us. If you reached Aimnova through your school, your school is responsible for that decision — not this clause.

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Account

New users may study one topic of their choice within each of their selected subjects at no cost, and this free access has no fixed end date. The number of free topics an account may hold, the number of practice questions available within them, and the number of times a free topic may be changed are subject to limits set out in the Service. Free access, its scope and eligibility may change from time to time.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

Access to premium features, and to content beyond the free allowance, requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select.

We may update our pricing from time to time. If we change subscription fees, we will notify you in advance, and the changes will apply from your next billing cycle.

4.3 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial months or unused portions of subscriptions, except where required by applicable law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations
• Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service or our systems
• Share your account or login credentials with others
• Use bots, scrapers, or any automated tools to access the Service
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code
• Reproduce, distribute, or resell Service content without our written permission
• Use the Service to cheat, plagiarize, or violate school or IB academic policies
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

We reserve the right to investigate and take action in response to suspected misuse of the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All materials on the Service—including text, graphics, practice questions, explanations, software, logos, trademarks, and branding—are owned by Aimnova or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on our content without our prior written consent.

6.2 User Content

You keep ownership of everything you write here — your answers, your notes, your messages to the tutor. What follows is the permission we need to run the Service for you, and nothing wider.

If your school enrolled you. Where your school has deployed Aimnova, we handle your work only to provide the service your school has contracted for, on your school's documented instructions, and as the law requires. We do not use it to train AI models. We do not use it to develop or improve Aimnova for anyone else. Your school's agreement with us says the same thing, and it governs if the two ever disagree.

If you opened the account yourself. You grant Aimnova a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, mark, display and otherwise handle your content to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the features you are using — and no further. Any broader use for developing or improving our products is not granted by these Terms. If we ever want that, we will ask you separately and tell you what it means.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service provides AI-generated responses, explanations, recommendations, and feedback. While we aim for accuracy and usefulness:

• AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inconsistencies.
• AI-generated content should not be treated as official IB guidance or marking.
• Important academic decisions should be checked against official IB materials and teachers.

Any predicted grades or performance insights are estimates only and are not guarantees of actual exam results or future performance.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

Without limiting the above, we do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Any defects or errors will be corrected
• Content (including AI-generated content) will be accurate, complete, or reliable
• Use of the Service will lead to improved grades, exam results, or academic outcomes

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aimnova and its officers, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, or opportunities
• Loss of data or interruption of service
• Academic or exam-related losses or missed opportunities
• Damages arising from your reliance on AI-generated content

What we never limit. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, or for any claim under data-protection law.

Subject to that, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid to use the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

If you are a consumer, you keep every right the mandatory law of your country gives you, and nothing here takes those away.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

By using the Service, you agree to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy. We process personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR where it applies.

11. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service at any time if:

• You violate these Terms or other applicable policies
• You misuse or abuse the Service
• We decide to discontinue all or part of the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Certain provisions of these Terms, such as intellectual property, limitations of liability, and dispute clauses, will continue to apply after termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Aimnova operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of that jurisdiction shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms.
