IB German B HL shares the same five prescribed themes and core grammar as SL, but expects a wider command of the language: more demanding listening and reading texts, a longer written task in Paper 1, and a literary component — two works of literature studied in German, with the individual oral built around a literary extract. These notes build the vocabulary, text types and the grammar HL examiners reward — the four cases, word order, and adjective endings.
