En une ligne: La critique ne se contente pas de raconter : elle juge. Son but est d'informer sur une œuvre, de l'évaluer selon des critères, puis de recommander — ou non — à un lecteur qui hésite avant de payer sa place.

Avant de réserver un film ou un resto, tu lis un avis. Tu cherches un verdict.

Voilà exactement ce que fait la critique : une voix qui a vu, lu ou goûté à ta place et qui te dit ce que ça vaut. Son destinataire, c'est toi — quelqu'un qui hésite. Sa visée n'est pas seulement d'informer : elle veut te faire partager un jugement et t'aider à décider. Repère les deux conventions qui la distinguent d'un simple résumé :

Le jugement appuyé sur des critères

La critique ne dit pas juste « c'est bien » : elle évalue selon des critères — le jeu des acteurs, le scénario, le rythme, la cuisine, le service. « Le premier acte s'installe avec une lenteur maîtrisée ; le dernier, lui, s'effondre dans la facilité. » Le lecteur voit sur quoi repose l'avis, il ne le subit pas.

L'adjectivation évaluative et le verdict final

Le vocabulaire est chargé de valeur — « bouleversant », « poussif », « savoureux », « décevant » — et le texte se ferme presque toujours sur une recommandation : « à voir absolument », « on peut passer son chemin », parfois une note. C'est la signature du genre.

Le geste clé: Montre comment le jugement est argumenté : sur quels critères l'auteur s'appuie, quelle adjectivation trahit sa position, et comment il se pose en voix experte tout en restant proche du lecteur pour l'amener au verdict.
