En une ligne: L'affiche est faite pour être vue de loin, en une seconde : une seule image dominante, un slogan très bref et un appel à l'action, tout cela pensé pour frapper le passant dans un espace public.

L'affiche a une seconde pour te capter — pas une de plus.

Pense au mur du métro devant lequel tu passes sans t'arrêter : une image énorme, trois mots, et c'est déjà fini. Tout est calculé pour cet instant. Sa visée est l'impact immédiat dans un espace public, et son destinataire est le passant pressé. Repère les deux conventions qui rendent cet impact possible :

L'image dominante et le slogan bref

Une seule image occupe presque toute la surface, avec très peu de texte : un slogan court, souvent en gros caractères. Sur une affiche pour un don du sang, une goutte rouge géante sur fond blanc et trois mots — « Ton sang sauve. » — suffisent. Trop de texte, et le passant ne lit rien.

Les couleurs connotatives et l'appel à l'action

Les couleurs ne décorent pas : elles connotent. Le rouge pour l'urgence, le vert pour la nature, le noir pour le sérieux. Et l'affiche se termine presque toujours par un appel à l'action à l'impératif — « Donne aujourd'hui », « Réserve ta place » — qui dit au passant quoi faire.

Le geste clé: Relie chaque choix visuel à son effet sur le lecteur : pourquoi CETTE image domine, pourquoi CETTE couleur, pourquoi si peu de mots ? L'affiche est un texte : ses procédés sont visuels, mais l'analyse reste la même — nommer le choix de l'auteur, puis interpréter le sens visé.

Ce qui compte

  • Tu interprètes les choix visuels au lieu de les décrire.
  • Image, couleur, disposition, slogan : chaque choix compte.
Le réflexe: Moins il y a de texte, plus chaque choix pèse : la rareté n’est pas la pauvreté.
