What it is: A summary of the text has gaps. You choose the word from the list that fits the meaning and the grammar.
The instruction on the paper: Elige de la lista la palabra apropiada para completar cada espacio en el siguiente texto. → Choose the right word from the list to fill each gap in the text.

Example: gap-fill

The question

    A. aumentar B. cantidad C. dudas D. disminuir E. calidad F. miedo

Example: read past the gap

The question

    A. aumentado B. conexión C. críticos D. disminuido E. ruido F. entusiastas
Read past the gap: Read the words after the gap too: pero tells you the next idea contrasts.

Do

  • Read the full sentence around the gap.
  • Check article, gender and number.
  • Find the idea in the text.

Don't

  • Choose a look-alike: calidad ≠ cantidad.
  • Pick a word just because it's there.
  • Ignore pero, sin and no.
