On the roof of an old multi-storey car park in Neustadt, tomatoes, herbs and lettuce have been growing since last year. Around forty volunteers look after the beds, most of them students. The vegetables are not sold but donated to the food bank, which gives food to people in need. Next spring a second roof is to be added.

Schlaf bei Jugendlichen
Read the text, press play, fill each gap, then show the answer.
Teenagers need about nine hours of sleep a night, but most only get seven. It's not just because of the phone. During puberty the body produces the sleep hormone melatonin later, so teenagers only get tired late. Some schools therefore only start at nine. First results show that students concentrate better and are late less often.
- 1. sieben Stunden · 2. das Handy · 3. später · 4. (erst) um neun Uhr
Spot the trap: At HL two numbers often sit close together. The words around the gap tell you which one fits.
