What a 'proposta' is: A proposal (la proposta) is a professional text type (Unit 2). It is a formal, persuasive text: you present a plan, justify it with reasons, and ask an authority to approve it. Why this matters: A proposal is a common Paper 1 task. Reusing these formal, persuasive set phrases (Lei throughout, «propongo che…», «per queste ragioni») is exactly what scores Criterion A (Language) and Criterion C (Conceptual understanding).
Persuade, don't just describe: A proposal convinces: every idea you propose needs a reason (the benefit). Examiners reward developed, justified points — «Propongo…, perché/dato che…». Decide your plan, then for each measure give its advantage.
Persuasive phrases (introduce and justify a measure)

- Propongo di tenere aperta la mensa più a lungo, perché molti arrivano tardi a causa dei corsi.
- Propongo un corso di sport il venerdì, perché ciò favorirebbe il benessere.

- Find it in the text. Look for «L'obiettivo è»: «L'obiettivo è offrire agli studenti un posto sicuro dove lasciare la bici…»

Reading technique: For a «secondo il testo» (according to the text) question, find the exact line that proves your answer — in a proposal the aim usually follows «L'obiettivo è…» and the request follows «La prego di…».
