What a 'Bericht' is: A report (der Bericht) is a professional text from the theme Social organisation. Its job is to present information objectively — usually data, findings and recommendations — to a decision-maker (a head teacher, a council, an association). The register is formal, neutral and impersonal: facts, not feelings.

The 'man'/passive habit: A report avoids ich (I think). Use the passive or es wird … / es ist … constructions instead: „Es wird empfohlen…“, „Es ist festzustellen, dass…“. That impersonal tone is half of Criterion C for a report.
Four building blocks: A report is organised, not chatty. It has a title, an aim, a findings section (the data) and a recommendations + conclusion. Headings (Überschriften) make the sections obvious — that visible structure is a report convention examiners look for.
