En bref: Un enjeu mondial, ce n’est pas le thème vague d’un texte : c’est une question précise que le texte fait résonner bien au-delà de ses propres lignes.

Une bonne analyse commence dans un mot et finit dans le monde.

Prends un poème de Baudelaire sur une passante croisée dans la rue. De près, tu analyses un adjectif, un rythme, un regard. Mais recule d’un pas : ce texte parle aussi de la solitude dans la grande ville moderne — un enjeu que des millions de lecteurs reconnaissent. C’est exactement ce mouvement que l’IB te demande à l’Oral individuel : partir d’un procédé, puis montrer à quel enjeu mondial le texte se rattache. Voici comment faire le lien proprement :

Les cinq champs d’investigation

L’IB regroupe les enjeux mondiaux en cinq grands champs : culture, identité et communauté ; croyances, valeurs et éducation ; politique, pouvoir et justice ; art, créativité et imagination ; science, technologie et environnement. Ce sont des tiroirs pour ranger ton idée, pas encore l’enjeu lui-même.

Formuler un enjeu, pas un thème

Un thème reste vague : « la ville ». Un enjeu mondial se formule comme une question ou une tension précise : « comment la grande ville isole-t-elle l’individu qui la traverse ? ». Le second guide l’analyse ; le premier ne fait que nommer un décor.

Le geste clé: Choisis d’abord un champ d’investigation (enjeu mondial), puis resserre-le en une question focalisée que tu peux suivre dans les mots mêmes du texte : quel procédé la porte ? quel effet produit-il sur le lecteur ?

Pourquoi ça compte à l’examen: À l’Oral individuel, nommer un grand thème ne suffit pas : ce qui compte, c’est que tu relies un procédé précis à un enjeu mondial formulé finement.
L’enjeu trop large: Un enjeu trop large — « l’amour », « la société » — plafonne la note. Un enjeu qu’on pourrait plaquer sur n’importe quelle œuvre n’est pas encore un enjeu.
