Keep Paper 1 answers exact
Paper 1 is non-calculator — leave answers as surds, fractions, or multiples of π. A decimal where an exact value is expected loses the accuracy mark.
Show all working
Marks are awarded for method, not just the answer. Even with an arithmetic slip you keep the method (M) marks if your working is clear.
Set your GDC mode in Paper 2
Check radians vs degrees before any trig calculation, and write down what you entered and what the GDC returned as evidence of method.
Never work backwards in "show that"
For "show that" and "prove" questions the result is given — derive it from the start. You score nothing for restating the answer.
