Why this matters: This vocabulary turns up in every skill — a reading text on recycling, a listening interview about climate change, a Paper 1 blog, or your oral. Reusing the right topic words is how you score Criterion A (Language).
Have something to say: Examiners reward developed ideas, not just vocabulary. Around the environment, the common debates are: whose responsibility it is (individuals vs governments), whether small daily gestures matter, and the tension between the economy and protecting the planet. Take a position and back it up.

Il progetto della mia scuola: L'anno scorso la mia scuola ha lanciato un progetto per ridurre i rifiuti. All'inizio non ci credeva quasi nessuno: buttavamo via bottiglie di plastica e carta senza pensarci.

- The question — «Secondo il testo, che cosa porta sempre con sé la persona adesso?»
- Find it in the text. Look for «adesso»: «Adesso vado a scuola in bici e porto sempre la mia borraccia.»
- The answer — Porta sempre la sua borraccia (e va a scuola in bici).
Reading technique: For a «secondo il testo» (according to the text) question, find the exact line that proves your answer — don't rely on memory or general knowledge.
